Natural Resources Damage Assessments

environmental-engineersUpon identification of a potential impact or known impact to a natural resource, which can be a groundwater or ecological injury (i.e. wetland, stream, lake, forest, wildlife, etc.), BES may conduct soil, sediment, and/or surface water sampling to determine the extent of impacts, if any. BES also collaborates with several highly qualified and certified firms if threatened and endangered species studies are required. Once the nature and extent of the injury is known, BES will prepare an Ecological Risk Assessment and restoration plan, if needed. A settlement between the responsible party and NJDEP’s Office of Natural Resource Restoration can also be coordinated.
