 Due Diligence Evaluator

 

Brockerhoff Environmental Services LLC (BES) is seeking a candidate for a mid- to senior level scientist and/or manager due diligence positions in our Washington, New Jersey office. The successful candidate will conduct Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs) and compliance reviews of complex industrial facilities and/or facilities with long industrial histories and manage multi-site environmental due diligence projects, as well has taking a significant role in growing our existing due diligence business.

 

Required Skills Required Experience
  • An Environmental Professional as defined by the ASTM E1527-13 Standard;
  • Has demonstrated an outstanding track record of business growth in due diligence.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage and/or assist in the management of projects and staff;
  • A demonstrated ability in the performance of Phase I ESAs and compliance reviews of complex industrial sites;
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant environmental discipline (e.g., geology or environmental science)
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills;
  • 8-12 years of experience in the performance of Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for various types of industrial facilities;
  • A successful proven track record of business development.
  • Additional experience in the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites is helpful.

Assistant Project Manager Environmental Scientist

Five years of experience in environmental consulting field,contaminant cleanup and groundwater modeling. Candidate should have experience with assisting senior staff with environmental remedial investigations, soil remediation (excavation and capping), groundwater remediation, in-situ treatment and/or system design and operation. In addition, they should be able to work with limited guidance in the preparation of technical reports for a variety of clients to address various environmental topics. Candidates should have experience with state and federal environmental compliance, management and remediation. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. In addition, candidate should be familiar with GIS and CADD software.  Prior experience in conducting and/or leading field investigations and environmental sampling are a plus.

BS in physical science, engineering or hydrogeology. 2-4 years of experience gaining knowledge regarding state and federal regulations specifically NJDEP and NYSDEC technical requirements.
