Underground storage tanks (USTs) are often used to store petroleum products and other hazardous substances. As a result, they are a potential environmental liability when they corrode and discharge their contents. The removal of USTs is common practice, especially when the property is being sold. BES provides options for the removal of USTs or closure in place if removal is not possible. BES also provides environmental sampling to determine if there is evidence of a discharge and if remediation will be required.
